NHS Cardiologist, Dr Eleanor Wicks, Joins as Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer

We’re excited to introduce Dr Eleanor Wicks, our Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer (CMO), one of the key people behind Lifeyear’s mission to transform cardiovascular care.
Eleanor is an NHS-trained consultant cardiologist with over 20 years of frontline experience at Barts Health NHS Trust and Oxford University Hospitals, where she served as Lead for the Inherited Cardiac Conditions and Heart Failure services. She also holds positions as an Honorary Consultant at Bart’s Heart Centre, London, and as an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University of Oxford.
Her specialist interests include heart failure, multimodality imaging, and both acquired and inherited cardiac conditions. Eleanor combines clinical leadership with a passion for innovation, education, and collaboration, ensuring our platform meets real patient and clinician needs.
As CMO, Eleanor leads our clinical strategy, working closely with clinicians, product teams, and partners to shape technology that supports meaningful outcomes for both patients and healthcare providers.
Together with co-founders Siim Saare (CEO) and Timo Mitt (CTO), Eleanor brings vital clinical expertise and extensive industry network to Lifeyear’s executive team.
